高田敬三（1939- ）

ジャズ評論家の高田敬三さんと高田馬場のAlbertでお会いした。「Daryl Shermanが暮に来ますよ」という話を聞き、ダリちゃんにメールした。

ダリちゃんと最後に会ったのは2016年の5月だったから、丸２年会っていないことになる。でも、高田さんが招聘してくれたらしい。ライブのBookingもまとめ役をされているという事だ。

ダリちゃんが６月にNew CDをリリースした。タイトルが面白い。”Lost In A Crowded Place（混み合った場所で迷子になった）”という。ダリちゃんはこれを早々と私に送ってくれた。１２月に会うまではこれでも聴いていなさい、という積りかもしれない。

混み合った場所とは、ここセントラルステーションのこと。

何をお返ししたら喜ぶと思いますか？わたしが還暦を迎えた年に記念に自分で伴奏カラオケを作り、１人プロデュースの録音をしようと考えた。翌年までに２、３０曲ばかり溜まった。それを、CDに焼いたのです。

タイトルにある通り、ソロ曲と１人コーラスが入っている。ソロ曲が、１，３，６，８，１１，１３，１６，１８，２０，２２と１０曲、その他は３声か４声のコーラスアレンジのバスからテナーまで１人で歌うという試みなのだ。これを送ってあげることにしました。（2018/8/31）

When package arrived I immediately put it into my CD player before I read the list of songs and credits.
I actually thought you were singing with a group! Then I read that you are also the chorus!
Wow!! Yokata!! I realize and admire the special effort that went into recording this excellent group of songs.

Interesting variety -- from McArthur Park to Music Maestro Please to Mr Bojangles to Maybe You'll be There.
Many different nice 'grooves'. You are indeed a very fine Vintage Guy.
Much thanks for sending the CD and I always appreciate hearing from you.

My first date is December 5 and it will be at Tableaux Lounge for reunion with young bassist Shinji Nakayama. I hope you will be able to come.
Then I travel to Cotton Club Kofu, some places in Osaka, Gifu. I am supposed to play December 11 at Farout in Yokohama and there will be an event at Cottom Club Takadanobaba on Dec 16.
